I realize that by now I'm supposed to dislike the whole
idea of a birthday, but it is a great excuse to bake a cake.
So there is it, a cake with no party around it. Well, we
can't have that now, can we? No sir, that cake would just
feel out of place. A party needs a theme, even a birthday
party, and I have just the thing...

    An Hors D'Oeuvres Extravaganza!

Festivities start at 7:00. If you want to bring something, make
it an Hors D'Oeuvres, on account of because that's the theme of
the party. Or a beverage. People will need something to wash the
Hors D'Oeuvres down with.
